Flow Battery Assembly

Flow Battery Assembly

A flow battery can be described as an electrical storage device that combines features of both a fuel cell and a conventional secondary battery. The liquid electrolyte of metallic salts is used as an electrolyte. Materials such as graphite felt, carbon paper, carbon cloth, and similar substances are utilized to activate both the anode and cathode. An ion exchange membrane is used to separate the anode and cathode. The single cell assembly consists of the following materials:

♦       Fibre reinforced Glass end plate

       ♦       Copper current collector

       ♦       Teflon connectors

♦       Graphite felt 6mm (activated) and Nafion 117 membrane

       ♦       3 mm silicon gasket

       ♦       FRG frame

       ♦       Other accessories
